A consumer within the meaning of these Terms is any natural person who enters into a legal transaction for purposes that are predominantly outside their commercial or self-employed professional activity (§13 BGB).
These Terms apply to all contractual relationships between Café Río Lejos Deutschland and the consumer in their version valid at the time of the order.
The website of Café Río Lejos serves exclusively as a product information and preorder request platform.
No purchase contract is concluded directly through the website.
By submitting a preorder request via the website, the customer expresses interest in purchasing the selected products.
The preorder request requires the customer to provide the following information:
Name
Email address
Telephone number*
Delivery address
* In order to facilitate delivery.
Submitting this information does not constitute a binding purchase contract.
The purchase process takes place in the following steps.
First, the customer selects the desired products on the website.
Second, the customer submits a preorder request with contact details.
Third, Café Río Lejos reviews product availability based on stock availability and international logistics from Colombia.
Fourth, Café Río Lejos contacts the customer by email with confirmation of availability, estimated delivery time, shipping costs and payment instructions.
Thereby, the customer receives a binding offer.
The purchase contract is concluded only when the customer accepts the offer and completes payment via bank transfer.
Café Río Lejos reserves the right to reject preorder requests if the requested product is not available.
All prices indicated on the website include the statutory German value-added tax (VAT) and the German coffee tax.
Shipping costs are not included in the displayed product price and will be communicated to the customer in the confirmation email.
The total price including shipping costs will always be clearly stated before payment is requested.
Payment is made exclusively via bank transfer after confirmation of product availability.
The payment instructions and bank details will be provided in the confirmation email.
The customer must complete the payment within seven days after receiving the payment request.
If payment is not received within this period, Café Río Lejos reserves the right to cancel the order.
Delivery times depend on availability and international shipping from Colombia.
Estimated delivery times will be communicated individually in the confirmation email.
Depending on product availability, delivery may take between a few days and six months.
Delivery is made to the address provided by the customer.
According to EU consumer law, goods ordered at a distance should normally be delivered within thirty days unless another delivery time has been agreed with the consumer.
The risk of accidental loss or deterioration of the goods passes to the consumer once the goods have been delivered.
The goods remain the property of Café Río Lejos Deutschland until full payment has been received.
Consumers have the right to withdraw from the contract within fourteen days without giving any reason.
The withdrawal period is fourteen days from the day on which the consumer or a third party designated by the consumer receives the goods.
To exercise the right of withdrawal, the consumer must inform:

The withdrawal can be communicated by means of a clear statement, such as an email.
If the consumer withdraws from the contract, all payments received will be refunded within fourteen days.
The refund will be made using the same payment method used by the consumer unless otherwise agreed.
Café Río Lejos may withhold reimbursement until the goods have been returned or proof of return has been provided.
The consumer bears the direct cost of returning the goods unless otherwise agreed.
The statutory warranty rights under German law apply.
The contract language is German.
The law of the Federal Republic of Germany applies, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods (CISG).
Mandatory consumer protection provisions of the consumer’s country of residence remain unaffected.

Café Río Lejos Deutschland is not obligated to participate in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board.
